Miss Escondido Pageants
Pageant Wardrobe Requirements
Entire Wardrobe must be approved by directors. Everything must be approved two weeks priort to pageant date.
Opening Number:
- Black Dress, knee length and no strapless or spaghetti straps.
- Fun shoes and/or jacket, chosen based on personality and theme.
Interview with the judges and “Getting to know you” competition:
- Outfit age appropriate and suitable for a serious job interview. Miss contestants must wear a suit or Pantsuit. This is preferred for Teen as well but also acceptable would be a conservative skirt or slacks with a blouse and a coordinating blazer or a conservative dress. Jr. Miss should wear a dress that would be appropriate for church or special dinner.
- Appropriate shoes, no sandals, no peep toed pumps and no platforms. Flats or small heal pump, heal no taller than 3 inches. Classic, flattering fit – young but not to trendy.
- Appropriate jewelry – not too large or flashy – focus should be on you not your jewelry.
- Cost is not a factor – do not go spend a bunch of money on these items. Look to thrift and resale for a bargain. Barrow jewelry, dresses or suits, past winners have barrowed items.
- Daytime/natural make-up for interview.
Evening Gown
- Cost is not a factor. Some dresses that winners have worn in the past were purchased second hand for under $50!
- Gown must be floor length. Jr. Miss may wear fancy short dress but it must look like an evening dress or like a flower girl dress.
- Must be age appropriate. NO low cut or revealing top, no bare midriff styles, no slits in skirts that go above fingertip, not to tight, no nude lace styles. In other words, gown must be wide enough at the base that can walk comfortable on stage and not a style with slim base that requires a slit in order to walk. (Will be discussed in detail at meeting).
- No Shawls, wraps or gloves
- Jewelry appropriate to gown
- Heels not higher than 3 inches, no platforms!!
- Be tasteful. Please do not choose an extremely low-cut gown, even if you are a Miss contestants.

Miss Escondido Pageants
To whom it may concern:
I am a contestant of the Miss Escondido pageants. In order to offset the cost of the pageant and to provide for scholarships for the winners I am looking to sell ad space in our pageant program. For ½ page ads or larger we will also be featuring the business on our Website, Facebook and Instagram pages. All ads are tax deductible as an advertising expense.
All ads need to be print ready. The ad sizes available are as follows:
Shout out -- $20
Business card -- $50
Quarter page -- $100
Half page -- $175
Whole page -- $350
Inside front cover -- $400
Inside back cover -- $400
Back cover -- $500
Please make checks payable to Miss Escondido Pageant.
